The great variety of vases, most in Baroque or Classical style, is characteristic of the wealth of designs made by the Manufactory. Whether as amphorae, as vases with handles or lids, or in the form of jugs or flagons, vases had in the past a decorative function rather than serving as containers for flowers. A rich selection of representative vases - often decorated with floral reliefs and mythological figures - is made today by experienced craftsmen to traditional patterns. The painter uses a fine brush to build up the image layer by layer and thus create a painting with optical depth.
