Decorated vases in Baroque and Rococo styles have, since the discovery of European porcelain, always been among the most loved and prized collection pieces. This monumental vase is more than one meter high and was created in 1874/1875. The flower designer and sculptor Carl August Kuntzsch was partly responsible for its creation. He was later to manage the Porcelain Factory as its owner, and brought it international success.
