The classical line-structured container body bulges out over a fluted shoulder in the shape of a bell. Two allegorical molded busts of women mark the handles. Both the lid and the sides contain complicated flower and basket perforations. The gold on the edges and profiles frames an unusual scene. It shows two young gentlewomen in an antique store who, in the neoRococo style, are analyzing a miniature portrait. Apparently, they've just discovered the painter, which is further evident in the title of the painting, "That's him".
